High wind warning in effect for area until noon

CHEYENNE, Wyo. — The National Weather Service has placed Cheyenne under a high wind warning, which will remain in effect until noon Sunday.

The area is being buffeted by west-northwest winds of up to 30 mph, with gusts upwards of 50 mph.

Motorists are advised to use caution when on the road, and light and high-profile vehicles are discouraged from being driven under extreme winds.
