High winds to continue through the week

CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Residents are in store for a blustery week in Cheyenne.

The National Weather Service in Cheyenne reports that strong winds will blow through Wyoming’s capital city Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Skies will be mostly sunny every day this week, and temperatures will eventually climb into the mid- to high-40-degree range.



Monday will remain chilly with a high of 33 degrees and low of 15. A north-northwest wind will be moving at around 15–20 mph over the next few days. Gusts could reach as high as 35 mph. Winds will pick up Tuesday night and Wednesday during the day, as a west wind will blow at anywhere from 20 to 30 mph. Gusts could accelerate up to 40 mph.

The highs and lows over the next several days are as follows:

  • Tuesday: High of 32, low of 21
  • Wednesday: High of 46, low of 27
  • Thursday: High of 50, low of 26
