CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Southeast Wyoming will experience high winds and a chance of isolated snow showers through Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service in Cheyenne.
A high wind warning is in effect for wind-prone areas, including sections of Interstate 80, through Wednesday evening. Gusts could reach 65 mph, with the strongest winds expected late Tuesday into early Wednesday. Winds will gradually weaken by Wednesday afternoon as the weather system moves east.
The NWS in Cheyenne forecasts seasonably low temperatures and isolated light snow showers Tuesday afternoon and evening. Areas in east-central Wyoming and the Nebraska Panhandle may see a light dusting of up to an inch of snow. This could create minor travel issues Tuesday night into early Wednesday.
