CHEYENNE, Wyo. — The National Weather Service in Cheyenne is projecting a 20% chance of snow showers after 11 a.m. for the Cheyenne area today. By 11 p.m., when the rest of the community gathers with friends and loved ones to ring in 2025, those chances will dwindle before disappearing entirely.

Today’s high is around 30 degrees, with a westward wind blowing across a partly sunny Cheyenne at about 5–15 mph. By tonight, chances for snow dissipate after 11 p.m., but Cheyenne residents will still have the misfortune of dealing with windchill values at minus 5 to 5 degrees. Without windchill, tonight’s low is 10 degrees.

New Year’s Day will be partly sunny with a high of 35 degrees. Winds will blow from the southwest at around 10–15 mph. With wind, though, tomorrow will feel like it’s between 0 and 10 degrees.

A likelihood for snow will return Jan. 1 in the evening, with a 30% chance across mostly cloudy skies. Tomorrow’s low will hit 16 degrees with 15 mph winds.

A small chance for snow will seep into Thursday morning, but then won’t return until Saturday night. Until then, daily highs are expected to slowly climb back into the low 40s before coming back down to the 30s Sunday.
