More snow on horizon for Cheyenne area

CHEYENNE, Wyo. — The Cheyenne area’s wintry weather is expected to continue into the coming days, according to the forecast from the National Weather Service in Cheyenne.

On Monday, the NWS in Cheyenne reports a 20% chance of scattered snow showers. The day is expected to be partly sunny, with a high temperature near 36 degrees.

At night, the chance of snow will grow to an 80% likelihood, as temperatures fall to a low of just 11 degrees. Forecasts indicate that up to 2 inches of snow accumulation is possible.

Tuesday will bring a 40% chance of snowfall, mainly before 11 a.m. The day is expected to begin with cloudy conditions before becoming partly sunny. Temperatures should reach a high near 23 degrees.
