Sunshine and warmth coming to Cheyenne this week

CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Temperatures are expected to rise dramatically in the coming week.

The National Weather Service in Cheyenne reports that temperatures will peak in the low 30s Monday and Tuesday. By Thursday, however, the daily temperature maximum may reach the 40- or 50-degree range.

Although Monday’s temperatures will be in the low 30s, windchill values may be anywhere from zero to 10 degrees. The nighttime low will be 12 degrees.

A modest west wind will blow through Cheyenne on Monday. Gusts may reach 25 mph. Tuesday’s winds may reach as high as 30 mph but will likely average around 15–20 mph.

Skies will be sunny throughout the week, and snow is likely to come again in Wyoming’s capital city Friday.

The highs and lows over the next several days are as follows:

  • Tuesday: High of 31, low of 14
  • Wednesday: High of 41, low of 21
  • Thursday: High of 50, low of 26
