CHEYENNE, Wyo. — The National Weather Service in Cheyenne has declared that a cold weather advisory will go into effect Saturday night, with frigid weekend temperatures and snowfall in the forecast for Wyoming’s capital city.
Today, the NWS in Cheyenne calls for a 40% chance of snow showers throughout the day. It will be partly sunny, with a high temperature near 10 degrees and windchill values between minus 5 and minus 10. The NWS in Cheyenne also reports it will be blustery, with north winds of 15–20 mph.
At night, temperatures will fall to a low of around minus 8 and windchill values between minus 15 and minus 20.
The NWS in Cheyenne has declared that a cold weather advisory will go into effect at 8 p.m. and last until Tuesday. People should exercise caution when outside and avoid unnecessary travel if possible.
Sunday will likely see increasing clouds as temperatures climb to a high near 15 degrees. Windchill values should remain between minus 10 and minus 20.
