Temperatures to climb into 40s in coming days

CHEYENNE, Wyo. — After several days of subfreezing temperatures, the National Weather Service in Cheyenne predicts that the Cheyenne area should see an ascent back into the 40s as the new week gets underway.

Monday is expected to be sunny, with a high temperature near 42 degrees. Moderate winds moving in from the east could reach speeds upwards of 15 mph.

Skies should remain mostly clear after dark. The NWS in Cheyenne reports temperatures will fall to a low of around 12 degrees.

Monday will be more of the same, with mostly sunny skies and a high temperature of 41 in the forecast. Winds will likely be minimal throughout the day.

At night, the NWS in Cheyenne reports temps will drop to a low near 15 degrees.
