CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Expect mild and dry conditions in southeast Wyoming through midweek, with a mix of warmer and cooler spots depending on location. The National Weather Service in Cheyenne forecasts highs in the mid-40s to mid-50s east of Interstate 25, while areas to the west, including Laramie, will remain cooler due to lingering snowpack. Highs in these spots may range from the mid-20s to around 30 degrees.

A weak storm system could brush far-southeastern portions of the region late Wednesday into Thursday. This system may bring flurries or light snow along the I-80 corridor, but significant impacts are unlikely. Areas along the North Platte River valley might see a light dusting, while locations further west remain dry.

Winds will stay gusty, especially near Bordeaux, where gusts have reached up to 45 mph. Sustained winds of 30–35 mph are expected in areas such as southwest Platte County. While conditions do not warrant high wind warnings, elevated winds could persist through the weekend, with a 60%–80% chance for strong gusts between Friday and Sunday.

Looking ahead, a more active weather pattern may develop this weekend, with precipitation chances focused in the mountains and potential high winds east of I-25. Temperatures next week remain uncertain, with forecasts ranging from the 20s to the 40s.
