CHEYENNE, Wyo. — A blustery weekend is in store for the Cheyenne area, with a high wind warning in Saturday’s forecast.
The high wind warning, which went into effect in the early-morning hours, will last until 5 p.m., the National Weather Service in Cheyenne declared. Motorists are encouraged to avoid unnecessary travel, especially in light and high-profile vehicles.
Saturday will see west winds over 20 mph and gusts upwards of 35 mph. Conditions will otherwise be mostly sunny, with a high near 49 degrees.
At night, residents can expect partly cloudy skies with a low around 30 degrees. Winds should have died down by nightfall, as the NWS in Cheyenne reports wind speeds of just 10–15 mph.
Sunday will begin with a 10% chance of rain and snow before 11 a.m. Conditions will eventually become partly sunny, with a high temperature near 53. The day will likely be breezy, with 30 mph wind gusts in the forecast, the NWS in Cheyenne reports.
