Body found in Carbon County; officials seek juvenile ‘possibly armed and dangerous’

Officials in Carbon County are investigating a body that was found with a gunshot wound on the side of the road.

A written statement from the Carbon County Sheriff’s Office says that dispatch received a call from a citizen, during the morning hours of May 11, 2020, reporting a suspicious vehicle, in the roadway, on County Road 215 near Highway 30 in Carbon County.

Carbon County Deputies and Wyoming Highway Patrol troopers responded, and found a male who had suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the chest.

WHP, the CCSO, Wyoming DCI, and the Carbon County Coroner’s Office responded to the scene.

“The Sheriff’s Office has been working with Nebraska authorities to help identify person’s of interest,” CCSO officials say.

One person of interest is a juvenile, identified as Marcos Esteban Garza Calderon.
