CASPER, Wyo. — A man has been arrested in the Wyoming community of Laramie, after a disturbance call, and faces a recommended Aggravated Assault charge.
“On May 14, 2020 at approximately 1:51 a.m. Laramie Police Officers responded to the 200 Block of Grand Ave for the report of a male subject threatening others,” Laramie PD said in a written statement Wednesday.
Officers say as a result of the investigation, William J. Knowlton, a 37-year-old Laramie resident, was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault and Battery.
Bond has not yet been set for Mr. Knowlton and he remains incarcerated at the Albany County Detention Center.
Aggravated assault and battery is a felony punishable by imprisonment for not more than ten years.
All of those cited or arrested are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. Charges are subject to change following official filings from the Albany County District Attorney’s Office.
