The Laramie Police Department has announced the arrest of an adult male, who is accused of trying to enter a private home during the afternoon hours of May 30, 2020.

Laramie PD says that at approximately 2:15 pm Laramie Police Officers responded to the 1100 Block of Sanders Street for the report of a male subject trying to gain entry into a residence.

“As a result of the Officers’ investigation, Deran J. Vasquez, a 36-year-old Laramie resident, was arrested and charged with Unlawful Entry into an Occupied Structure,” the written statement from Laramie PD said Tuesday morning.

Police officials also said that Vasquez was charged with multiple misdemeanors, but did not disclose their nature in the statement.

Vasquez was reportedly released from the Albany County Detention Center on a ten thousand-dollar signature bond.

Unlawful entry into an occupied structure is a felony punishable by imprisonment for not more than ten years, a fine of not more than ten thousand dollars, or both.

All of those cited or arrested are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. Charges are subject to change following official filings from the Natrona County District Attorney’s Office.

A current booking photo for Mr. Vasquez was not made available.
