Country legend Dwight Yoakam to play Casper in July

CASPER, Wyo. – Legendary country and Americana singer/songwriter Dwight Yoakam will perform at the Ford Wyoming Center this summer.

According to a release issued on Friday morning, the concert is scheduled for Friday, July 2, at 8 p.m.

Tickets will go on sale on Friday, April 16, at 10 a.m.

According to the release, Yoakam has sold more than 25 million records worldwide, and has won numerous GRAMMY awards over his decades-long career.

He has collaborated with numerous country legends over the years, including the late Buck Owens, whose “Bakersfield sound” heavily influenced Yoakam.

He’s also had a successful acting career, appearing in such films as “Sling Blade” and “Panic Room.”
