CHEYENNE, Wyo.– Natrona County Emergency Management has confirmed “cold air funnel activity within the storm” near the base of Casper Mountain Monday afternoon.
“We are in close contact with US National Weather Service Riverton Wyoming making sure they do not turn into anything damaging and monitoring their activity,” the agency said.
Though they could produce some winds with rain and dust, NCEM said “what we have been seeing are not tornados.

“As always be prepared when outdoors and monitor official sources of information,” the agency said.
Several Oil City News readers in Casper sent images of the funnel cloud, which appeared around 2 p.m.
