CASPER, Wyo — The University of Wyoming Cowboys face off against the Kent State Golden Flashes for the first time at the 25th Famous Idaho Potato Bowl, the bowl organization announced Sunday.

The game will be December 21 at Albertsons Stadium on the campus of Boise State University.

This will be the Cowboys’ second appearance at the bowl, having won in 2017 against Central Michigan 37-14. It will be their fourth bowl game appearance in the last six years, and they have won the last two.

The Pokes come into the bowl with a 6-6 record this season.

“The Cowboys average 195.1 rushing yards per game, led by three-time All-[Mountain West] running back Xazavian Valladay.”

The Cowboys’ all-time bowl record is 8-8.
