CHEYENNE, Wyo. — The Wyoming Department of Transportation has closed large sections of Interstate 80 and US 30/287 throughout the state due to hazardous conditions.
The department reports that I-80 was recently closed westbound from Laramie, and US 30/287 is closed north of the city. As driving conditions worsen throughout the state, rolling closures have also begun in other communities, such as road closures westbound from Rawlins.
Strong winds are causing slick spots on roads and extremely reduced visibility in some areas, WYDOT reports.
