CHEYENNE, Wyo. – Apparently, the National Football League could use more Wyoming Cowboys.

During the full slate of NFL games on Sunday, September 26th, 2021, two former UW football legends willed their respective teams to victory with performances that will long be remembered.

Former Poke QB Josh Allen ran and threw the Buffalo Bills past the Washington Football team by a lopsided score of 45-23. Allen passed for 358 yards and four touchdowns in the blowout. Allen also ran for another TD score to give him 5 total for the day. Allen spread the ball around the team finding 9 different receivers. This type of remarkable play has become a regular occurrence and for the Wyoming Cowboy alum whose name is being mentioned as an early favorite for MVP of the NFL.

The other UW player to stand out was former defensive star Logan Wilson whose dominant play on Sunday helped his team, the Cinncinati Bengals to upset their rivals, the Pittsburgh Steelers. Wilson totaled 14 tackles, and recorded two interceptions against the future Hall Of Famer Ben Roethlisberger during the contest.

Both former Cowboys played pushed their teams to 2-1 in the early stages of the NFL season and will likely each be strongly considered for conference offensive and defensive players of the week.
