Wyoming communities once again came together in a powerful show of generosity during this year’s Bowl for Jason’s Friends fundraising events, raising more than $510,000 to support Wyoming families facing childhood cancer.
The 28th Annual Bowl for Jason’s Friends in Casper, the 4th Annual event in Gillette, and the inaugural Cheyenne event brought together hundreds of bowlers, volunteers, sponsors, and donors, all united by a shared mission: helping Wyoming children and their families during the fight of their lives.

The Casper event was held at El Mark-O Lanes, while bowlers in Gillette gathered at Camelanes Bowling Center and the first-ever Cheyenne event took place at Derby Lanes. Across all three locations, bowling team participants collected donations from family, friends, local businesses, and community members before gathering to bowl in support of the cause. Corporate sponsors, lane sponsors, and prize donors played a critical role in making the events a success, while volunteers gave their time and energy to ensure everything ran smoothly.
“This event truly reflects the heart of Wyoming,” said Jason’s Friends Executive Director Christine Robinson. “The generosity we see every year — from the bowlers to the sponsors to the volunteers — is incredible. It’s a reminder that Wyoming families facing childhood cancer are not alone.” The $510,000 raised will go toward the $840,000 family financial support budget for 2026.
The funds raised will go directly toward supporting the more than 180 Wyoming families Jason’s Friends is currently assisting who have a child diagnosed with cancer, a brain tumor, or a spinal cord tumor. Since its founding in 1996, Jason’s Friends has provided more than $9 million in financial assistance to Wyoming families.

When a child is diagnosed with cancer, families are forced to travel out of state because there is no primary pediatric cancer center in Wyoming. Jason’s Friends helps ease that burden by assisting with travel expenses such as fuel, meals, and lodging. Back at home, the organization also helps cover essential household bills — including rent or mortgage payments, utilities, and other everyday expenses — so parents can focus on being present with their child during treatment.
In addition, Jason’s Friends has recently expanded its support to include mental health assistance, helping cover the cost of counseling for children, siblings, and parents as families navigate the emotional challenges of a childhood cancer diagnosis. The foundation also reimburses families for their child’s annual medical insurance deductibles, easing another significant financial burden.
“This support exists because of the people of Wyoming,” Robinson said. “Their willingness to step up and care for neighbors they may never meet makes a life-changing difference for these families.”
Jason’s Foundation extends heartfelt thanks to everyone who participated, volunteered, sponsored, or donated to this year’s events.
