CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Kevin is a Wyoming native, retired Army Colonel, and veteran advocate. Kevin reflected on Memorial Day weekend by noting, “A nation is great when liberty is cherished, when faith sustains the human spirit, and when citizens understand that freedom is not inherited automatically—it must be defended by every generation. A nation is great when it remembers those who gave everything so that others might live in freedom.”

This Memorial Day weekend, members of the community are invited to join U.S. House of Representatives candidate Kevin Christensen at Lions Park for a relaxed, family-friendly meet-and-greet gatherings honoring Wyoming’s fallen heroes.

Kevin will be at Lions Park from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 23, and Sunday, May 24, welcoming anyone who’d like to stop by to share a meal and spend time together ahead of the holiday. Burgers and hotdogs will be served.

As part of the weekend events, Kevin will read the names of the Wyoming service members who gave their lives in service to the country. Guests are encouraged to share the names of friends or family members they wish to honor as well.

These gatherings are open to everyone, and all are invited to take part in a moment of remembrance, connection, and community.
